BEVERLY, Mass. – At the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Cross Country Championships on Saturday, the Roger Williams’ men’s squad and the Suffolk women’s squad claimed team titles, repeating their victories from the event in 2022 and 2021.
In the men’s 8K race, the Hawks were led by sophomore Nathan Tassey, this season’s individual champion, defending his title from 2022, and the Runner of the Year. RWU had three finishers in the top eight and all five scorers in the 14.
In the women’s 6K race, Gordon junior Rachel Brennan won her third-straight league title en route to a Runner of the Year nod. The Rams of Suffolk finished three runners in the top 10 and all five scorers in the top 13.

The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC), founded in 1984, is an NCAA Division III athletic conference composed of 10 full member and two associate member institutions throughout the New England region. Its membership aims to provide student-athletes with a positive experience in their pursuit of excellence through high academic standards, quality competition and a meaningful student life. The Conference administers championships in 20 intercollegiate sports.
