Suffolk Earns 2024 Women's Cross Country Championship

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Suffolk Women's Cross Country added a new line to its record books as the Rams raced to their fourth consecutive conference crown at the 2024 Conference of New England (CNE) Championship Saturday on the campus of Western New England. In addition, Gordon College's Rachel Brennan won her fourth consecutive conference individual medal, finishing first with a time of 21:30.61.

Suffolk's fourth straight title, first under the CNE moniker, came on the heels of a team score of 37 to top the eight-team field. The Rams performance was 30 points ahead of runner-up Roger Williams.

The blue-and-gold is one of only three teams to win three or more conference championships in the league's history. Suffolk is the first team to capture four league titles in a row since the University of New England won seven straight from 2012-18.

Brennan asserted herself right out of the gates, and claimed the top spot in the Championship Meet for the fourth straight year. Brennan's time of 21:30.61 was her best time ever at the league championship.
