BEVERLY, MA – The Conference of New England released its 2024 Preseason Coaches Poll on Tuesday morning, and the defending conference champions Western New England University claimed the top spot with 93 points and six first-place votes. The Golden Bears, who are coming off a strong 2023 season, are favored to lead the conference again this year.
Coming in second, Roger Williams University gathered 84 points and three first-place votes. Endicott College closely follows in third with 83 points and one first-place vote, while the University of New England (UNE) - last season's championship runner-up - rounds out the top four with 72 points.
Suffolk University ranks fifth with 59 points, while Hartford follows closely behind at sixth with 57 points. Nichols, Gordon, Curry, and Wentworth complete the preseason poll.

Originally founded in 1984 as the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC), and reconstituted as the Conference of New England (CNE) in 2024, the CNE is an NCAA Division III athletic conference composed of 10 full member and five associate member institutions throughout the New England region.
