BEVERLY, Mass. – The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) announced the 2023-24 men’s basketball awards winners and All-Conference Teams on Friday. Honorees are selected by a vote of the league’s head coaches based on regular-season play.
Nichols College senior guard Tavon Jones is the Player of the Year. He was the only NCAA Division III player to average 20 points, eight rebounds, four assists and two steals per game, including a career-high 41 points scored vs. Suffolk. Jones averaged 22.0 points per game in league action, including 28 points per game in Nichols’ final three games of the regular season.
Also from Nichols, Brock Erickson is the Coach of the Year. The Bison posted a 22-4 record (15-1 CCC) this season, including a 16-straight win streak (third longest in program history). His team won the regular-season league title for the fourth-straight season.
Western New England junior forward Jake Harrison is the Co-Defensive Player of the Year. His total blocked shots (23), blocked shots per game (1.4), total steals (31) and steals per game (1.8) ranked top five among CCC players in Conference contests.
Wentworth junior forward Tyler Stewart is the Co-Defensive Player of the Year. He ranked third in points per game (19.9), second in rebounds per game (9.4) and first in blocked shots per game (1.8) during league action. His total blocks (47) and blocks per game (1.9) ranked in the top 55 nationally.
Endicott freshman forward Elijah Kinney is the Rookie of the Year, averaging 14.5 points, 10.0 rebounds and 1.3 steals per game in 22 contests. He shot 55% from the field (121-of-22) and totaled 318 points, ranking 20th among CCC players. His 10.0 rebounds per game led all CCC players.
Wentworth senior guard Sam Goy is the Scholar-Athlete of the Year. He’ll graduate in May with a 3.3 grade point average and a degree in business management with a concentration in project management. Off the court, he is a past member of the Dean’s List and spent time working with The Fenway Group and Wentworth Athletics.

The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC), founded in 1984, is an NCAA Division III athletic conference composed of 10 full member and two associate member institutions throughout the New England region. Its membership aims to provide student-athletes with a positive experience in their pursuit of excellence through high academic standards, quality competition and a meaningful student life. The Conference administers Championships in 20 intercollegiate sports.
