BEVERLY, Mass. — The first-seeded Endicott men's lacrosse team defeated fourth-seeded Roger Williams, 14-7, in the Conference of New England (CNE) Tournament semifinal round on Wednesday night at Hempstead Stadium.
Nick Graap (Yorktown Heights, N.Y.) was the difference maker for the Gulls, as the senior attackman tallied a single-game career-high eight goals.
His eight markers also tied the program's postseason single-game scoring record, originally set by Will Jennings (Danver, Mass.) '17 on May 4, 2016, coincidentally enough at home against Roger Williams in the conference tournament semifinal round.
Brody MacDonald (Hanson, Mass.), Adam Priest (Billerica, Mass.), Chris Hughes (North Kingstown, R.I.), Derek Thompson (Avon, Conn.), Joseph Tumolo (Mahopac, N.Y.), and Travis Foster (Wells, Maine) rounded out the scoring with solo tallies.
Foster also was dominant at the faceoff X, going 16-for-19 (84.2%, five groundballs).
In goal, Gio Panicola (Long Beach, N.Y.) made seven saves to improve to 14-3 overall.
