BEVERLY, Mass. – On Wednesday, the Commonwealth Coast Conference announced its Student-Athletes of the Week in men’s and women’s cross country, men’s golf, women’s tennis and women’s volleyball for October 2-8.

Men’s Cross Country
Runner and Rookie of the Week: Dylan Beggins, Roger Williams | Freshman | Bay Shore, N.Y.
- at the Westfield State James Earley Invitational, clocked an 8K time of 26:01.4 with an average mile of 5:14.1
- finished 10th overall and was the third rookie to cross the finish line; the top Hawk finisher
- squad finished fourth of 24 teams in the varsity race

Women’s Cross Country
Runner of the Week: Rachel Brennan, Gordon College | Senior | Lynn, Mass.
- among the best runners in Division III, earned a 17th-place finish at Pre-Nationals Meet, hosted by Dickinson College
- clocked a 6K time of 22:27.3 in the field of 350+ collegians

Rookie of the Week: Ashley Beck, Roger Williams University | Freshman | Ballston Spa, N.Y.
- at the Westfield State James Earley Invitational, clocked a 6K time of 25:04.2 with an average mile of 6:43.4
- finished in 53rd overall and was the 16th rookie to cross the finish line
- Hawks finished ninth of 25 teams

Men’s Golf
Player of the Week: Frank Mahoney, Endicott College | Senior | Braintree, Mass.
- won the one-day UNE Invitational with an even-par round (34-35, 69) at the Cape Arundel Golf Club
- tied teammate Brady Burke for first place overall, credited with medalist honors for winning a scorecard tiebreaker
- squad produced a tournament record score of 282 to top the field by more than 25 strokes; Gulls are the only team ever to shoot in the 280s in the 22-year history of the tournament

Rookie of the Week: Ryan Dacey, Roger Williams University | Freshman | East Greenwich, R.I.
- hit 74 (+2) at Skidmore Invitational
- tied for 33rd overall, highest finisher among CCC players

Women’s Tennis
Player of the Week: Lejla Guster, Endicott College | Junior | Wethersfield, Conn.
- went 2-0 against Roger Williams in CCC victory for the Gulls
- in doubles, teamed with Ripley Uyeda for an 8-5 triumph at No. 1 
- followed with a swift 6-1, 6-1 decision at No. 1 singles

Rookie of the Week: Ella Mancini, Roger Williams University | Freshman | Middlebury, Conn.
- remains unbeaten in singles play with a 3-0 week; posted a record of 1-1 in doubles play 
- picked up singles wins vs. CCC foes Endicott and Suffolk
- RWU was 2-1 on the week, including 1-1 in league play

Women’s Volleyball
Player of the Week: Krystina Schueler, Endicott College | Graduate | Trumbull, Conn.
- Endicott collected Conference wins from Gordon, 3-1, and Roger Williams, 3-2
- recorded 4.00 kills per set, .389 hitting percentage and 0.78 blocks per set in a 2-0 week for the Gulls
- posted double-digit kills efforts vs. Gordon (15, .448) and Roger Williams (21, .349); first career match with more than 20 kills
- also had seven block assists during the week with six coming against Roger Williams

Libero of the Week: Emma Ruel, Endicott College | Junior | Duxbury, Mass.
- helped lead Gulls to 2-0 week with victories over Gordon (3-1) and Roger Williams (3-2)
- compiled 4.00 digs per set
- recorded 39 receives only, making one error with five assists and two service aces

Rookie of the Week: Olivia Vaughn, Wentworth Institute of Technology | Freshman | Bolingbrook, Ill.
- in 3-0 victory over UNE, posted 27 assists, eight digs, two service aces
- in 3-0 win over Salve Regina, recorded 31 assists, 10 digs, one service ace
- 2-0 week for Leopards

The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC), founded in 1984, is an NCAA Division III athletic conference composed of 10 full member and two associate member institutions throughout the New England region. Its membership aims to provide student-athletes with a positive experience in their pursuit of excellence through high academic standards, quality competition and a meaningful student life. The conference administers championships in 20 intercollegiate sports.
