BEVERLY, Mass. – Based on a vote of league head coaches, Nichols College was picked to win the Commonwealth Coast Conference Championship in the 2023-24 preseason poll. The Bison secured eight of the nine first-place votes.
Western New England (one first-place vote) was picked to finish second and Endicott rounded out the top three. The Golden Bears return the 2022-23 Player of the Year in Jake Harrison while the Gulls return last season’s Rookie of the Year in Jeff Hill.
Last season, Nichols won the regular season and the Conference Tournament, and advanced to NCAA Division III Sectional Final. The Bison finished the season with a 26-6 (16-2 CCC) record and the second-most wins in program history.
This season, the Hartford Hawks are provided with a full slate of men's basketball competition vs. league opponents. All Hartford games and matches with CCC opponents do not count towards Conference records and are categorized as non-conference contests.
The rounds of the 2023-24 CCC Tournament will be held February 20, February 22 and February 24.
