CNE Announces Weekly Award Winners for Jan. 27

The Conference of New England announced their weekly awards for the week of Jan. 20-26 on Monday afternoon, with multiple schools represented across four sports. In all, nine student-athletes were recognized for their efforts this past week. The winners are:

Men's Hockey
Goalie - Ryan Wilson, Endicott
Player - Eelis Laaksonen, Curry
Rookie - Ryan Austin, Nichols

Women's Hockey
Goalie - Lauren Ferrari, Endicott
Player - Bella Schmidt, Suffolk
Rookie - Kailin Kane, JWU

Women's Basketball
Player - Sarah Dempsey, Endicott
Rookie - Tricia Wladkowski, Endicott

Men's Basketball
Player/Rookie - Marcus Montagnino, Endicott

ABOUT THE CONFERENCE OF NEW ENGLAND
Originally founded in 1984 as the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC), and reconstituted as the Conference of New England (CNE) in 2024, the CNE is an NCAA Division III athletic conference composed of 10 full member and five associate member institutions throughout the New England region. Its membership aims to provide student-athletes with a positive experience in their pursuit of excellence through high academic standards, quality competition and a meaningful student life. The Conference administers championships in 20 intercollegiate sports.
