Nichols Tabbed to Lead CNE Men's Tennis Season

BEVERLY, MA – The Conference of New England (CNE) has unveiled its 2025 Men's Tennis Preseason Coaches’ Poll, with Nichols College claiming the No. 1 spot. Garnering a perfect 100 points and 10 first-place votes, the Bison are the preseason favorites to capture the conference crown.

Roger Williams came in at the second spot behind Nichols with 83 points, while Gordon completed the top three by earning 71 points for third place. 

Closely contesting Gordon in the fourth spot was Endicott (68), with newcomers Colby-Sawyer (63) and Saint Joseph (61) earning selections at fifth and sixth, repsectively in their first season in the CNE.

Rounding out the poll seven through ten came Wentworth (38), Western New England (31), Suffolk (25), and Curry (10).

ABOUT THE CONFERENCE OF NEW ENGLAND
Originally founded in 1984 as the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC), and reconstituted as the Conference of New England (CNE) in 2024, the CNE is an NCAA Division III athletic conference composed of 10 full member and five associate member institutions throughout the New England region. Its membership aims to provide student-athletes with a positive experience in their pursuit of excellence through high academic standards, quality competition and a meaningful student life. The Conference administers championships in 20 intercollegiate sports.
