BEVERLY, Mass. — The inaugural season of women’s golf in the CNE kicks off this year, as the first ever Women’s Golf Championship will be on the line at Keney Park Golf Course in Hartford. The inaugural championship will be hosted by the University of Hartford.
Gordon College
Led by head coach Joseph Ferraro, Gordon begins its third season of Women’s Golf September 6-7 at the CNE Preview.

Nichols College
Nichols women’s golf enters its third season as a program, and its first with an official Conference of New England layout. With the guidance of first-year head coach Don Lemieux, the Bison return the majority of its six-player roster from 2024, including senior captain Kaitlin Baca and sophomore standout Isabella Fleury, who will additionally serve as a team captain this fall. The Bison jump right into the conference side of things with their first tournament on September 6th & 7th at the Hartford Hawks Invitational.

Roger Williams University
Roger Williams University announced the addition of the first NCAA Varsity Women’s Golf in September of 2025, and will see the squad take the course in 2025-26. James Ebzery takes the helm of the Hawks in their inaugural campaign, coaching a roster that leads the conference to its first CNE Championship season. The Hawks will see Mazie Collins, Rileigh Gouveia, McKenna Marcoux, Emily Soter, and Grace Tarro take the course as they open their season on Saturday, Sept. 6, at the Hartford Hawks Women’s Invitational.

Suffolk University

Suffolk women’s golf’s 10th varsity season will be that of a new era as the Rams and their conference counterparts will compete in the Conference of New England (CNE) for the first time.
Under the leadership of head coach Jay Parker, the Rams have captured two league title in the program’s record book with the last coming in 2024. That year the blue-and-gold made more history with the program’s first-ever NCAA Division III Tournament.
Junior captain Brooke Bugajewski, a two-time all-conference performer, brings the most experience to Suffolk’s squad that features three returners and two newbies.
The team will have five meets leading up to the league championship, which is on tap Columbus Day Weekend, at the Keney Park Golf Course in Hartford, Connecticut. Suffolk will get its first look at that course opening weekend, Sept. 6-7, at the CNE Preview.
University of Hartford
The Hartford women’s golf team looks to compete in the Conference of New England for the first time ever. With many similar faces on the roster, and led by head coach Pete Stankavich, this experienced team looks to make a name for themselves in 2025. The Hawks will kick their season off at the University of Hartford Women’s Invitational Saturday Sep, 6 at Keney Park Golf Club.

University of New England
The University of New England and head coach Kasey Keenan are starting the program's second season on September 3 at the John Queenan Memorial hosted by Saint Joseph's College. Junior two-sport student-athlete Amanda Forziati was the top performer last year, and is now joined by junior Abby Flanagan, who previously competed for Bowdoin College. Juniors Eadie Nadeau and Libby Stevens are returners who were regularly in the 2024-25 lineup, while junior Danielle DeJon and sophomore Ella Lemieux are new to the squad.

Originally founded in 1984 as the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC), and reconstituted as the Conference of New England (CNE) in 2024, the CNE is an NCAA Division III athletic conference composed of 11 full member and five associate member institutions throughout the New England region. Its membership aims to provide student-athletes with a positive experience in their pursuit of excellence through high academic standards, quality competition and a meaningful student life. The Conference administers championships in 21 intercollegiate sports.
