UNE’s Flanagan and Ingram Earn Top Honors as CNE Announces Women’s Golf Awards

The Conference of New England (CNE) announced its 2026 Women’s Golf All-Conference teams and major award winners, with the University of New England’s Abby Flanagan earning Player of the Year honors and teammate Brooke Ingram receiving Rookie of the Year recognition. The CNE Player and Rookie of the Year, and All-Conference selections are based on their finishes at the CNE Women’s Golf Championship.

Suffolk’s Brooke Bugajewski was named Scholar-Athlete of the Year, while Hartford’s Pete Stankevich earned Coach of the Year recognition. Both awards are voted on by the conference women’s golf coaches’ group.

Flanagan won her second straight individual championship at Dunegrass Golf Club, finishing at 160 (+16) after rounds of 77 and 83. Her opening score was the weekend’s lowest round, and she finished 10 strokes clear of the field. Flanagan remains the only individual champion through the event’s first two editions.

Stankevich led Hartford to its first CNE women’s golf title. The Hawks totaled 712 with rounds of 353 and 359, beating UNE by 26 strokes. Maris Branyan tied for third at 173, Leah Petruzzi finished sixth at 176 and Lilly Sprister tied for seventh at 178.

Bugajewski paired her Scholar-Athlete of the Year award with a runner-up championship finish, shooting 81 and 89 for a total of 170 (+26).

Suffolk and Hartford each earned three All-Conference selections, while UNE and Nichols received one apiece. Suffolk placed two golfers on the First Team, with Hartford placing two on the Second Team.

Flanagan leads the First Team alongside Bugajewski, Suffolk’s Emory Goodson and Hartford’s Branyan. Goodson and Branyan shared third place at 173 (+29). The Second Team includes Suffolk’s Krisna Mahendran, Hartford’s Petruzzi and Sprister, and Nichols’ Delaney Giesen. Giesen’s final-round 81 was Sunday’s best score.
