BEVERLY, Mass. — The Conference of New England (CNE) has announced its four nominees for the 2025-26 Division III Commissioners Association (D3CA) Student-Athlete of the Year Awards, recognizing outstanding achievement in athletics, academics, leadership and service.
Curry College football's Montie Quinn and Endicott College baseball pitcher Brady Stuart were selected as the CNE's men's nominees, while Roger Williams University field hockey's Chelsea King and Endicott field hockey's Tori Swanson were chosen as the conference's women's nominees.
Quinn completed one of the most decorated seasons and careers in NCAA Division III football history at Curry. The 2025 CNE Offensive Player of the Year led the nation with a program-record 2,436 rushing yards and 27 touchdowns while setting NCAA records for single-season yards per carry (9.82) and career yards per carry (7.33). He also established an NCAA all-divisions record with 522 rushing yards in a single game. Quinn finished as the runner-up for the Gagliardi Trophy and earned numerous national honors, including Walter Camp Player of the Year and D3football.com Offensive Player of the Year.
Stuart capped his Endicott career by helping lead the Gulls to the 2026 NCAA Division III Baseball National Championship. The right-hander was named both the ABCA and D3baseball.com National Pitcher of the Year, becoming the first unanimous Division III Pitcher of the Year in program history. A First Team All-American and the 2026 CNE Pitcher of the Year, Stuart was also selected to the NCAA Division III Baseball Championship All-Tournament Team. Away from the diamond, he was a three-time CNE Academic All-Conference selection and a member of EC Lead on campus.
King concluded a historic field hockey career at Roger Williams as an NFHCA Second Team All-American, three-time First Team All-Region selection and two-time conference Offensive Player of the Year. She graduated as the program's all-time leader in points (205), goals (84) and assists (37), while becoming the first Hawk to surpass 200 career points. King also posted a 3.940 GPA, was a four-time NFHCA Scholar of Distinction and served as Managing Director of the RWU CAFE Program. She has accepted a full-time position with Goldman Sachs following graduation.
Swanson paired an accomplished Endicott field hockey career with a 3.950 GPA and extensive leadership and community involvement. A 2025 NFHCA Second Team All-American and three-time All-Region First Team selection, she was also a two-time conference Offensive Player of the Year and earned a pair of NCAA Division III statistical championships in 2024. Academically, Swanson was named a 2026 CSC Academic All-America At-Large Second Team selection and the 2025 CNE Scholar Athlete of the Year. Her involvement beyond competition included Endicott's Best Buddies Club, Emerging LEAD, the Jimmy Fund and Build a Bed.
The D3CA Student-Athlete of the Year Awards recognize graduating Division III student-athletes who have distinguished themselves through excellence in academics, athletics, leadership and community service.

Originally founded in 1984 as the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC), and reconstituted as the Conference of New England (CNE) in 2024, the CNE is an NCAA Division III athletic conference composed of 11 full member and nine associate member institutions throughout the New England region.
