BEVERLY, Mass. - A new season on the links is ready to begin as the 2026 Conference of New England (CNE) men’s golf season gets underway. The University of Hartford enters the fall as the defending CNE champion, with programs throughout the conference setting their sights on the league crown. The road to the championship will ultimately lead to Black Ledge Country Club in Hebron, CT, where the CNE title will be decided this fall.
Gordon College

Gordon returns seven veterans and adds three newcomers for the upcoming season.
The Fighting Scots finished tied for fifth at the 2025 CNE Championships. Ben Hoffman paced Gordon with a ninth-place finish to claim All-CNE honors.
Led by head coach Ryan McDonald, Gordon begins the season September 1 with a home dual match against St. Joseph’s (Maine).

After a third consecutive CNE runner-up finish in 2025, the men’s golf program is retooled and ready for another run at the title in 2026.
The fall season starts for the Blue and Green on September 12, as they head to Middlebury, Vt. for the Duke Nelson Invitational at Ralph Myhre Golf Club.
The Gulls welcomed in four new freshmen, including Tom Kennedy (Sydney, Australia) as an international student-athlete. Kennedy is joined by Harrison Daley (Troy, N.Y.), Tucker Roberto, and Wally Ryder (South Salem, Mass.) in the freshman class for Tom Smith’s team.
Endicott also returns Myles O’Quinn (Durham, N.H.) for his junior season. O’Quinn concluded last fall season with three consecutive top-10 finishes in the conference season, including a +2 top-10 finish (73-73) in the CNE Championship.
He also comes in hot, having won the 123rd New Hampshire State Amateur Title this past July. With the win, O’Quinn clinched a spot in the US Amateur Championship this past August.

The University of Hartford men’s golf team heads into 2026 looking to win back-to-back CNE Championships after winning the 2025 tournament on October 5th at Tumble Brook Country Club.
The Hawks return five student-athletes from last year's team including Griffin La Londe and Tim Kaley who were both CNE All-Conference 2nd Team selections a season ago. Shawn Amari also returns to the team after being a top five scorer last season.
Hartford will host just two tournaments in the fall with the CNE Championships at Blackledge Country Club and the Battle at Bull's Bridge at Bull's Bridge Country Club. Overall the Hawks will also compete in a pair of division I tournaments including the Red Bandanna Invitational hosted by Boston College and the LIU Nassau Invitational hosted by Long Island University.

The University of New England and 22nd-year head coach Kasey Keenan bring back two of the top three scorers from 2025-26 and will open play on September 5 at the University of Southern Maine Cup. Senior Owen Lee registered seven top-5 showings last season and posted a 78.5 average across 15 rounds, while sophomore Noah Fay finished in the top handful on four occasions and notched an 80.3 average as a rookie. Senior Tim Melley and junior Sean Guerrette should continue to be in the mix to factor in the team scores for the Nor'easters.

The Nichols College men's golf program, under the tutelage of second-year head coach Don Lemieux, enters the 2026-27 season looking to build on one of the best seasons in program history after recording multiple team titles and several program scoring records a year ago.
Despite graduating a standout senior class, the Bison return one of the Conference of New England's top golfers in senior Nick White. White posted a 77.2 scoring average during his breakout junior season while earning the first two individual medalist honors of his collegiate career, highlighted by victories at the Brett Williamson Invitational and the Bison Spring Invitational.
Last season, Nichols captured team championships at the Brett Williamson Invitational and Bison Spring Invitational, tied for eighth at the 22-team NEIGA Championship, and closed the year with a runner-up finish at the Gordon College Shootout.
With White leading the lineup and several golfers stepping into expanded roles, the Bison will look to build on last year's success and remain among the top contenders in the Conference of New England throughout the 2026-27 campaign.

The Hawks enter 2026-27 looking to regain a CNE Title after finishing fourth at last year's CNE Championship, after winning two straight conference titles in the 2023-24 and 2024-25 campaigns. The Hawks graduated two players, including former All-Conference golfer Will Lafrance.
The Hawks do return a strong core of seven golfers with key experience within collegiate golf, including Sammy Johnson, the CNE Rookie of the Year in 2023. Ryan Dacey, a First Team player, also returns as the RWU Men's Golf program looks to continue building momentum under Head Coach

Suffolk University

Experience will be on Suffolk men's golf's side in 2026-27, with six returners back in the lineup and just one newcomer joining the Rams. Suffolk shared fifth at the 2025 Conference of New England (CNE) Championship and will look to its returning group to make a push toward the top of the conference standings this season.
At the forefront of the returning group is
Michael Gallagher, who earned All-CNE Third Team honors following his performance at the 2025 CNE Championship. Gallagher carded a 153 over 36 holes to finish tied for 12th in the 45-golfer field, becoming just the second sophomore in program history to earn all-conference recognition and the first Suffolk golfer to earn the honor since 2023. Gallagher gives the Rams a proven conference performer to build around heading into the new campaign.
The Rams open up the fall action at the St. Lawrence University Invitational, Sep. 5-6, at the Oliver D. Appleton Golf Course in Canton, N.Y.
Western New England University

The Western New England men’s golf team improved on its placement in the Conference of New England Championships last season, finishing third overall after a fifth-place finish in 2024. The Golden Bears return five student-athletes this coming season while bringing in five new faces to help WNE remain among the top teams in the conference.
After averaging just over 77 strokes per round last season, Alex Noti (Odessa, Fla.) will look to lead the charge for the Blue and Gold in 2026 after averaging just over 77 strokes per round last season and earning All-CNE Third Team honors. Noti did not shoot higher than an 80 in any fall competition. Noti will be joined by fellow rising junior Kyle DeGroff (Berlin, Conn.), who averaged just over 78 strokes per 18 holes last season, including finishing the spring season with a second-place result at the Western New England Invitational, shooting a 74 over 18 holes.
Rising junior Kyle Klimas (Newington, Conn.) and sophomore Aidan Devaney (Waterbury, Conn.) contributed to Western New England’s success last season and are expected to help the Blue and Gold’s success this upcoming year.
Western New England is scheduled to play in six events during the fall season, opening on Wednesday, September 9, for a two-day event at the AIC Yellow Jacket Invitational at Ledges Golf Club.
