Hartford's Imani Jenkins and Christina Stone Named to 2024 Academic All-America® Women’s Soccer First Team

AUSTIN, Texas – Graduate student Imani Jenkins (Middletown, Conn.) of the University of Hartford women's soccer team has been named to the 2024 Academic All-America® Division III Women's Soccer First Team, as announced by College Sports Communicators (CSC) on Tuesday. This honor recognizes the top student-athletes for their exceptional performance both academically and athletically. 

Jenkins, who concluded her academic career with a 3.89 GPA in Occupational Therapy, has accumulated numerous accolades this season. In addition to earning First Team Academic All-America® recognition, she was named the Conference of New England (CNE) Offensive Player of the Year, received All-Region First Team honors, and was a CNE All-Conference First Team selection. Jenkins was also a CSC Academic All-District honoree. 

Jenkins showcased her dominance by tallying 27 goals, 11 assists during the 2024 season. Her efforts helped the Hawks to an impressive 16-3-2 record, including a 7-1-1 mark in CNE play. The Hawks ended the year winning the Conference of New England (CNE) regular season championship, CNE Tournament Championship, and the ECAC Championship. 

As Jenkins embarks on her next chapter, Hartford Athletics extends its gratitude for her contributions and wishes her the best in her future endeavors. 

Graduate student Christina Stone (Glastonbury, Conn.) of the University of Hartford women's soccer team has earned a place on the 2024 Academic All-America® Division III Women's Soccer First Team. This was announced by College Sports Communicators (CSC) on Tuesday. This accolade honors student-athletes who excel both academically and athletically at the highest level. 

Stone completed her academic career with a perfect 4.0 GPA in Organizational Psychology, adding to her list of accomplishments. This season, she earned All-America Fourth Team honors, was named to the All-Region First Team, and received the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) Tournament Most Valuable Player award. Stone was also recognized as the CNE Scholar Athlete of the Year, the CNE Elite 20 Award Winner, and a member of the CNE All-Conference First Team. Additionally, she was selected for the CSC Academic All-District Team. 

On the field, Stone was a vital player for the Hawks. Her impressive season helped lead Hartford to a 16-3-2 record, including a dominant 7-1-1 performance in CNE play. The Hawks captured their first CNE regular-season title. The Hawks ended the year winning the Conference of New England (CNE) regular season championship, CNE Tournament Championship, and the ECAC Championship.
