MEET RESULTS
Gordon College Women's Track & Field standout, Rachel Brennan ran on the biggest stage this evening at the NCAA DIII Outdoor Track & Field National Championship in Geneva, Ohio. Brennan took care of business to earn herself an All-America nod in the 10,000m event after her best finish of her career to take fifth place with a time of 34:48.61.
In one of the most competitive races in NCAA Division III history with multiple All-Americans, Brennan solidified herself in the second pack right from the start. Nearing the 11 minute mark, Brennan began to break away to lead the squad of the third to 12th place runners. The experienced runner maintained a strong performance in the chase pack down the stretch for sixth place before turning on the jets to make her move to earn a fifth place finish.
Brennan is not done yet at the National Championship as the veteran will look to hit the track again on Saturday, May 24 to race in the 5,000m.
