Endicott Completes Three-Peat Against Roger Williams, 17-11

BEVERLY, Mass. – The first-seeded Endicott women's lacrosse team defeated second-seeded Roger Williams, 17-11, in the Conference of New England (CNE) Championship on Saturday evening at Hempstead Stadium.

Endicott led wire-to-wire in the contest, leading by as many as nine (Q3, 15-6, 4:35), to secure its third straight conference title and 15th overall in program history (2006-14, 2017-19, 2024-26).

Leah Black (Cheshire, Conn.) led the charge offensively with four goals and one assist.

Mia Smith (Portsmouth, N.H.) and Abbie Belleville (Salem, Conn.) also contributed hat tricks to the victory.

At the conclusion of the game, Belleville was named the CNE Tournament Most Outstanding Player.

The junior midfielder compiled six goals (two hat tricks), three ground balls, and three draw controls in two playoff games. She also played a pivotal role on defense and in transition during the title run.

Mia Samarjian (Stow, Mass.) chipped in with two goals and one helper, while Clare Wendell (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.)Emerson Clark (Gloucester, Mass.)Sophia Notine (Arundel, Maine)Kendal Kelsey (Queensbury, N.Y.), and Kenzie Velsmid (Hopewell Junction, N.Y.) rounded out the scoring with solo tallies.

In goal, Severine Michel (Seekonk, Mass.) made five saves to improve to 14-4 overall on the season.

  • Endicott leads the all-time series, 29-9, which includes a 9-4 record in conference championship meetings.
  • The Gulls are 9-1 at home this season.
  • Black has scored four goals in three games this spring.
  • Belleville tied her season-high for goals (fourth time this year).
