BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott men's soccer graduate midfielder Tiago Frazao has received College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-American First Team Honors, as announced by the organization this afternoon.
The College Sports Communicators Academic All-America® Program, formerly named CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America), has honored more than 40,000 student-athletes since 1952 with the prestigious title of Academic All-American for their outstanding academic and athletic achievements.
To be eligible for the award, student-athletes must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) and compete in 90 percent of the institution's games/contests/sets played OR must start in at least 66 percent of the games/contests/sets.
Across Division I, II, III, and NAIA, there are around 45,000 men's soccer student-athletes competing in the sport.
Frazao is just one of 126 student-athletes from that pool to receive the title of Academic All-American, as voted on by CSC members this year.
Additionally, he is one of just nine men's soccer Division III student-athletes to earn repeat Academic All-American honors (Third Team, 2023).
The Trumbull, Conn. native is the only member of the Conference of New England (CNE) and just one of four from New England to earn Division III Academic All-America honors.
He is the first Endicott men's soccer student-athlete to be named a two-time CSC Academic All-American. He is also just the second first-teamer in program history (Gregory Capece '12) and the fourth overall in Endicott Athletics history.
